About Cipher Hatch

Cipher Hatch is an original browser word deduction game built around a simple question: how much can a player infer from two honest totals? Each round chooses one familiar five-letter password from a compact hand-written list. A submitted word receives an exact-position count and an elsewhere count, while the interface deliberately avoids identifying any individual letter.

Original by design

The rule expression, mechanical dial interface, copy, code, curated word list, scoring implementation, illustrations, and accessibility labels were created specifically for this project. The site does not copy a commercial puzzle board, branded name, color-feedback pattern, proprietary dictionary, or third-party game asset. Familiar English words are facts; the selection and presentation here are independently authored.

Gameplay bugs, accessibility problems, and unclear rules can be reported through the public GitHub profile. Please include the browser, screen size, action taken, and expected behavior. Do not include private or sensitive information.
